Title: Technical Program ManagerLocation: RemoteJob Type: Contract (6 Months)Compensation: $75.19 - $109.02/hrIndustry: RetailAbout The RoleOur client, a leading national retailer with a highly sophisticated technology and cybersecurity ecosystem, is seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager to support large-scale cybersecurity and technology initiatives. This role will lead complex, cross-functional programs that span Product Management, Engineering, Architecture, and Cybersecurity teams.The ideal candidate is a strategic program leader with deep technical understanding and a proven ability to drive enterprise-scale initiatives from planning through execution. This individual will partner with senior leaders and technical stakeholders to align priorities, manage risks, and ensure successful delivery of key business and technology objectives.Job DescriptionIn this role, you will serve as a key leader responsible for driving alignment, execution, and transparency across complex technology and cybersecurity initiatives. Working closely with product leaders, engineering teams, architects, and cybersecurity professionals, you will help translate strategic objectives into actionable plans, ensuring programs remain on track, risks are proactively managed, and business outcomes are successfully delivered. This position requires a blend of technical acumen, program leadership, stakeholder management, and executive communication skills to influence decisions and drive results within a highly matrixed enterprise environment.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the planning, coordination, and execution of large-scale cybersecurity and technology programs across multiple product and engineering teams.Manage multiple strategic initiatives simultaneously while ensuring alignment with organizational goals and priorities.Coordinate efforts among Product Management, Engineering, Architecture, and Cybersecurity teams to drive successful program outcomes.Identify, track, and proactively manage dependencies, risks, issues, and blockers that may impact delivery.Develop and maintain comprehensive program plans, milestones, governance documentation, and executive reporting dashboards.Facilitate roadmap planning sessions, portfolio reviews, governance meetings, and other cross-functional planning activities.Prepare and deliver executive communications, including status reports, presentations, and program health assessments.Monitor program performance through key performance indicators (KPIs) and recommend improvements to execution and delivery processes.Drive accountability by tracking commitments, deliverables, decisions, and action items across teams.Champion continuous improvement by enhancing program governance, reporting, planning, and delivery practices.Foster collaboration across highly matrixed teams and influence stakeholders without direct management authority.QualificationsRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.10+ years of Technical Program Management experience supporting enterprise technology organizations.Proven success leading multiple concurrent, enterprise-scale technical programs involving cross-functional engineering teams.Experience partnering with Product Management, Engineering, Architecture, and Cybersecurity stakeholders.Demonstrated ability to manage complex program dependencies, risks, milestones, and executive-level reporting.Experience driving programs across highly matrixed organizations without direct authority.Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) principles and Agile delivery methodologies.Experience facilitating executive governance meetings, portfolio reviews, roadmap planning, and organizational planning sessions.Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to manage competing priorities and ambiguity.Ability to understand technical concepts, architecture discussions, delivery challenges, and engineering risks.Preferred QualificationsExperience supporting Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, Platform Engineering, or Cloud technology organizations.Experience managing enterprise technology portfolios or large-scale digital transformation initiatives.Familiarity with Agile frameworks such as Scrum, SAFe, Quarterly Planning, or Program Increment (PI) Planning.Experience using enterprise program management and collaboration tools including Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Planview, or Smartsheet.Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).Familiarity with modern software engineering practices, cloud architecture, and enterprise technology environments.Experience working within large retail, e-commerce, or consumer-focused organizations.BenefitsDahl Consulting is proud to offer a comprehensive benefits package to eligible employees that will allow you to choose the best coverage to meet your family’s needs.
