Join a world-class team of scientists, engineers, and business professionals to advance the state-of-the-art in quantum computing.As a QEC Manager with a software focus, you will manage a team of approximately 5 direct reports working to develop software to support theoretical and experimental efforts to implement scalable fault-tolerant quantum computing using neutral atom qubits. Day-to-day responsibilities range from project management, software architecture decisions, budgeting decisions, technical mentoring, and individual technical contributions.ResponsibilitiesHire and manage a team of high-performing QEC researchers and software engineersContribute 30-50% of your time towards hands-on QEC/SW projectsMaintain ongoing communication with other technical managers, project leaders, and team members to ensure work is allocated effectively and efficientlyHelp to provide logistical support to create the infrastructure for the team to accomplish their goalsExperience & EducationPhD in Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related fieldAt least 3 years of relevant industry experienceQualificationsAbility to effectively communicate and collaborate with a diverse team of experimental physicists, hardware, and software engineersAbility to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a changing work environmentAbility to hire the best talent from academia and industryExperience with quantum information theory and quantum error correctionFamiliarity with Python and at least one compiled language such as C, C++, or RustStrong understanding of best practices for software developmentAtom Computing provides a wide variety of perks and benefits, including fully paid medical, dental, and vision insurance for our employees and their dependents. In addition to salary, we offer a bonus plan and incentive stock options for equity in the company.
