Custom Manufacturing Manager

Brief DescriptionJoin our Manufacturing team — production, assembly, operation of equipment, and more — and help us deliver an unmatched selection of products made with quality materials and workmanship. The Stone Setting department is responsible for polishing, engraving, plating, and setting stones, demanding high dexterity, concentration, and attention to detail to ensure the quality of each piece.The Custom Manufacturing Manager oversees and manages daily operations in the Stone Setting department to maintain an efficient workflow and team development, under the leadership of the Sr CAM Manufacturing Manager.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct monthly coaching sessions with team members to provide guidance, support, and skill development.Manage daily payroll processing for the department.Communicate with department’s Director regularly to provide updates on the team’s production status and address any issues.Implement and monitor departmental changes, ensuring the team is informed and aligned.Ensure high levels of concentration and attention to detail are met to maintain product quality.Apply Lean manufacturing principles to optimize Stone Setting work cells, improving flow, efficiency, and quality.Identify and reduce waste within departmental processes through continuous improvement and standardized work practices.Partner with leadership to support work-cell design, balancing, and process improvements that align with production goalsBasic QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentProficiency in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Teams, Word, ExcelStrong organization, communication, and interpersonal skillsProven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a teamAbility to maintain a positive work environment and effectively manage workflowDemonstrated proficiency in tasks requiring manual dexterity and close-range detail observationPreferred QualificationsFamiliarity with Lean manufacturing concepts (5S, standard work, waste reduction) and their application in work-cell environmentsKnowledge of jewelry and jewelry manufacturing processesSummaryStuller is the jewelry industry's largest manufacturer, supplier, and technology developer in North America.
