Network Engineer

We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner!The Role Design, implement, and manage enterprise network architectures across physical, virtualized, hybrid cloud, and multi-cloud environments. Support FEMA network operations for fixed and disaster-activated sites, including LAN, WAN, voice, video, satellite, internet, intranet, and telecommunications infrastructure. Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for enterprise network infrastructure and services. Monitor network performance, availability, utilization, and service health; identify and implement performance improvements. Troubleshoot and resolve complex network incidents, outages, connectivity issues, routing problems, and interoperability challenges. Implement and maintain network security controls, including VPNs, access controls, firewalls, IDS/IPS integration, and secure network configurations.What You'll Need Bachelor’s degree and 12–15 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree and 10–13 years of relevant experience. Experience managing enterprise network operations within a complex, mission-critical environment. Experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise networks across physical, virtualized, hybrid cloud, and multi-cloud environments. Experience with LAN, WAN, VPN, routing, switching, firewalls, cloud networking, network segmentation, load balancing, and secure connectivity. Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance and DHS EOD. Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Professional Cloud Solutions Architect certification, or Multi-cloud certification.What's On Offer Join a team supporting critical FEMA OCIO operations.
