Job Title: Lead Integration Engineer Location: Pittsburgh, PA Type: Direct Hire Compensation: $0.00 Contractor Work Model: Onsite – onsite Hours: 40.0 Security Clearance: (Not specified)OverviewLeave placeholder text here for recruiter to inputResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and optimize fluidic systems, including manifolds, tubing layouts, and pump-controlled flow networksImplement stable, leak-free circulation systems with controlled and reproducible flow profiles across experimental platformsSupport development of physiologically relevant flow conditions, including continuous and directional flow regimesIntegrate fluidic systems with broader experimental platforms, including device interfaces, instrumentation, and control systemsContribute to system-level architecture design, coordinating fluidic, mechanical, and sensing componentsDevelop and implement control strategies for pumps, valves, and fluid routing systemsPerform system testing, validation, and troubleshooting to ensure operational reliability and consistencyMaintain detailed documentation of system configurations, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and performance validationCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to align system functionality with experimental and operational requirementsContribute to improvement of system robustness, usability, and scalability for sustained and repeatable operation Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical / Systems Engineering, or a related fieldMinimum of 3 years of relevant experience in fluid systems, instrumentation, or experimental platform developmentExperience with fluid handling systems, pumps, tubing, or flow control architecturesExperience with system integration and hardware-based experimental platformsStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work effectively in multidisciplinary research and engineering environmentsSystem One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
