Front Desk ReceptionistOur client located in Atlanta, GA is in need of a Front Desk Receptionist. This is a 2-3 month contract need, onsite averaging 32 hours per week with occasional help on Fridays.Company ProfileFamily Services OrganizationFront Desk Receptionist Role:The Front Desk Receptionist serves as the first point of contact families entering the facility.Will manage the secured front desk area, assist with client check in, support families during appointments, maintain a calm and welcoming environment, and provide light clerical support as needed.Monitor secured front entrance and verify appointments prior to allowing entry into the buildingWelcome and check in clients and visitors upon arrivalProvide intake paperwork and assist families with the check in processNotify therapists, forensic interviewers, and advocates when clients arriveMaintain a calm, safe, and welcoming waiting room environment for children and familiesOffer support items such as toys, television, bottled water, or quiet activities for children while waitingOccasionally assist with supervising children in the waiting area when parents or guardians are temporarily meeting with staffAnswer and transfer incoming phone calls appropriatelyPerform light clerical duties including scanning, filing, copying, organizing paperwork, and administrative support tasksMaintain front desk and waiting room organization throughout the dayAssist with basic office closing and tidying procedures as neededUtilize Microsoft Outlook and internal systems for scheduling awareness and communicationAdditional proprietary systems and databases will be trained onsiteFront Desk Receptionist Background Profile:Prior receptionist, front desk, administrative assistant, customer service, or client coordination experience preferredExperience supporting healthcare, counseling, nonprofit, social services, education, pediatric, or family focused environments highly preferredStrong interpersonal and communication skillsComfortable interacting with children and families in sensitive or emotionally difficult situationsAbility to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and neutrality at all timesDependable and organized with strong attention to detailComfortable working independently at the front desk after trainingBasic computer proficiency including Microsoft Outlook and Windows systemsAbility to multitask and adapt to changing appointment schedules and office activity levelsComfortable performing light clerical and administrative support duties during downtimeAbility to remain calm, compassionate, and emotionally mature in a trauma informed environmentAdditional DHS/GBI background screening and fingerprinting process required due to the nature of the organization's workCandidates must be comfortable working with children ages approximately 5–17 and their families
