Quantitative Developer - C++ Infrastructure for Quant Analytics
Overview
In this role you will support Quants by owning and improving the developer experience for C++ libraries used across Bloomberg’s analytics platforms. You will work on building robust, scalable infrastructure and tooling that enable rapid, reliable pricing and risk calculations. You’ll oversee integration builds, CI/CD pipelines, and code quality tooling to detect issues early. You’ll collaborate with Quants and engineering partners to design APIs and architectures that boost performance and robustness. ResponsibilitiesSupport Quants and own the developer experience for QuantsBuild and debug C++ libraries in VS Code remote containers in Docker or on Unix hostsMaintain integration builds and test infrastructure with automated CI/CD and code quality toolingOversee API design and library architecture to meet standards while optimizing delivery time, performance, and robustnessReview code and coach Quants on best practices, then tackle prioritized project work and infrastructural improvementsEngage stakeholders from diverse backgrounds, document complex requirements, and communicate strategies clearlyHandle rapid context switches between strategic projects and urgent support requests
