Job Summary Loads bulk and finished product into trucks and rail cars to meet shipping schedules and quality standards. Job Responsibilities Load rail cars and trucks with bulk finished product by operating scale room loading system Operate computerized shipping dispatch program to collect shipping data for accounts, billing and inventory reports Operate trackmobile to move rail cars into loading position Inspect and close rail cars to ensure the equipment is in proper working order Take silo measurements and samples Clean equipment and work area according to department housekeeping standards Conduct inventory of rail cars Conduct preventative maintenance on load‐out equipment according to department procedures Communicate with customers, company distribution office, common carriers, and railroad personnel to confirm shipping schedules and miscellaneous shipping Performs any other duties as assigned by a supervisor Qualifications High School diploma or G.E.D required. Must possess a current and valid drivers license Must be bondable Must successfully meet and maintain background requirements to comply with US Department of Justice Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearm and Explosives licensing requirements Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Basic data entry skills Knowledge of air slides, pneumatic actuators, gates and valves, and dust collectors Basic reading, writing and math skills Effective verbal communication skills Working Conditions Continuous exposure to extreme heat, extreme cold, extreme noise, and working outdoors. Must wear protective equipment while at the location. Physical Requirements Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
