Manager, Software Development (Hybrid)Position OverviewWe are seeking a Manager, Software Development to lead a high-performing engineering team that builds scalable, secure, cloud-native applications. The role combines hands-on technical leadership with people and delivery management: driving architecture and design decisions, owning delivery timelines, implementing best practices in Agile engineering, and ensuring high-quality solutions using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, SQL and AWS.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, coach and grow a cross-functional development team responsible for full-stack features.Own delivery and execution: plan sprints, manage priorities, remove blockers and ensure timely releases in an Agile/Scrum environment.Drive technical direction and architecture decisions for cloud-native, microservices-based systems deployed primarily to AWS; evaluate Azure and Google Cloud options as needed.Collaborate with Product Management and stakeholders to translate requirements into clear technical plans, deliverables and roadmaps.Ensure high code quality through code reviews, automated testing strategies, and mentoring of engineering best practices.QualificationsBachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.5-7+ years of professional software development experience and 2-3+ years in a leadership or engineering management role in an Agile environment.Desire to remain hands on in your technical skills with Java and Spring Boot for backend services and Angular for frontend development.Demonstrated experience with AWS (deployments, services, and architecture best practices).Strong proficiency with relational databases and SQL; experience designing performant persistence layers.Solid understanding of RESTful API design, microservices and distributed systems patterns.Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and a security-first development approach (DevSecOps).Excellent communication, stakeholder management and mentoring skills with a track record of building strong teams.Nice-to-have: certifications or practical experience in Technical Leadership, DevSecOps, SCRUM, full-stack development, Azure, Google Cloud and AI/ML technologies.BenefitsEmployer Sponsored: Medical, Dental, Vision, Long and Short term Disability, Virtual Medical Assistance, and EAP ProgramFlexible Spending and Health Savings Plans Available11 Paid HolidaysPaid Vacation and Sick DaysBonusesRetirement Savings Plan with 5% Employer ContributionHybrid Office EnvironmentHighly Collaborative Corporate Culture in a Fast-Paced, Hands-On, Cutting-Edge Technology Environment  Email Your Resume In Word ToBrooke.Rinaldi@CyberCoders.comLooking forward to receiving your resume through our website and going over the position with you.
