Join our team and play a critical role supporting the agency's Office of Acquisition Management-where your expertise will directly influence how essential services are delivered.Sr. Contracts Manager – You'll lead high-visibility acquisitions from strategy through closeout, partnering with program leaders and Contracting Officers to deliver compliant, efficient, and innovative contracting solutions.This is a 1‐year project supporting a federal agency located in the Washington, DC area. The work location is onsite with hybrid work opportunities.This position is contingent upon contract award.What You'll DoOwn the full procurement lifecycle – Lead cradle‐to‐grave acquisition activities for a diverse portfolio of professional, advisory, and administrative service contractsDrive strategic acquisitions – Develop acquisition plans, solicitation packages, and evaluation criteria that align with mission needs and regulatory requirementsExecute complex contract vehicles – Manage IDIQs, BPAs, task/delivery orders, IAAs, and purchase orders with precision and efficiencyApply your regulatory expertise – Leverage deep knowledge of FAR Parts 12, 13, 14, 15, 37, 43, and Subpart 8.4 to guide compliant and effective procurement actionsLead post‐award success – Oversee contract administration, including modifications, performance monitoring, and closeout activitiesEnsure data integrity and transparency – Maintain accurate reporting in systems such as FPDS and CPARS while supporting audit readinessCollaborate with stakeholders – Partner closely with CORs and Contracting Officers to shape acquisition strategies and contract type decisionsEnhance quality and compliance – Review and refine acquisition documentation to ensure clarity, accuracy, and adherence to federal standardsBe a subject matter expert – Provide guidance and mentorship to program teams on acquisition processes and best practicesWhat You BringBachelor's degree (BA/BS) or higher8+ years of hands‐on federal contracting experience across the acquisition lifecycleExpertise aligned with FAC‐C Level III (certification preferred)Strong working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and federal procurement processesExperience with service‐based contracting (FAR Part 37) and task order/IDIQ environmentsProficiency across contract types (FFP, Labor Hour, T&M; familiarity with cost‐type contracts a plus)Experience with contract writing systems (PRISM/ESC or similar)Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills with a customer‐focused mindsetProficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace toolsWhat Sets You ApartFAC‐C Level III certificationExperience with Inter/Intra‐Agency Agreements (IAAs)Advanced knowledge of cost‐type contractsA proactive, solutions‐oriented approach with the ability to balance compliance and mission needsWhy This RoleThis is more than a contracting role—it's an opportunity to influence mission outcomes, collaborate with high‐performing teams, and bring strategic acquisition expertise to complex federal programs.
