A culture of mentorship, professional growth, and technical excellence defines the workplace — this is an organisation that invests meaningfully in its people.The RoleReporting to the Vice President, the Senior Project Manager will take full ownership of site development projects — managing scope, schedule, budget, and client relationships from initiation through delivery. You will lead and mentor a team of engineers and technicians, uphold quality standards, and actively contribute to business development within your market.Where: there are 5 offices across NJ.Key ResponsibilitiesDefine, analyse, and manage project scope; prepare and monitor comprehensive budgets and schedules across multiple simultaneous projects.Lead the production of civil engineering designs for commercial, residential, mixed-use, and industrial site development projects, including grading, drainage, utilities, and site layouts.Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building trusted relationships and consistently delivering against agreed objectives.Coordinate with local authorities, permitting agencies, subconsultants, and contractors to ensure smooth project progression.Oversee QA/QC processes, reviewing deliverables produced by project teams to uphold technical excellence and code compliance.Drive project profitability by managing labour costs, monitoring accounts receivable, and identifying scope changes requiring formal adjustments.Mentor and develop junior engineers and project managers, supporting their technical growth and career progression.Contribute to business development by marketing the firm's services, developing proposals, and nurturing new and existing client relationships.Collaborate cross-functionally with other internal disciplines (transportation, environmental, surveying) to deliver integrated project solutions.Requirements & QualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline.Professional Engineer (PE) licence, or active pursuit of licensure.10+ years of progressive experience in civil / site development engineering, including significant project management responsibilities.Demonstrated success managing projects from design through construction, on time and on budget.Strong knowledge of grading, stormwater management, utility design, and local land development regulations.Proven client management and business development skills.Experience leading and mentoring engineering staff.
