Accounts Payable Supervisor

Location: Denver Tech Center - 4 days per week Employment Type: Full-Time About the Role: We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Accounts Payable Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of the AP function and ensure the accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices and payments. This role will lead a small team of AP specialists, monitor workflows, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of AP processes, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and mentor the accounts payable team, ensuring workloads are balanced and deadlines are met Oversee invoice processing, purchase order matching, approval workflows, and payment runs Review and verify payment batches for accuracy and compliance with company policies Resolve escalated vendor issues and discrepancies in a timely and professional manner Monitor AP aging reports and collaborate with management to prioritize payments Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting policies Support process improvements, automation initiatives, and efficiency gains Assist with month-end closing, including accruals and reconciliations related to AP Provide training and guidance to team members on systems, procedures, and best practices Prepare AP metrics, reports, and dashboards for leadership review Assist with internal and external audits by providing required documentation Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred 3+ years of accounts payable experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role Proficiency with ERP systems (experience with SAP, Oracle, or similar preferred) Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with both internal and external stakeholders Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a high-volume environment What’s Offered: Competitive pay and benefits Opportunity to lead and grow a team in a dynamic work environment Chance to contribute to process improvements and efficiency initiatives Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO): We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and value diversity in our workforce.
