Job DescriptionGlobal Category DirectorJob SummaryWe are seeking a highly analytical and results-driven Global Category Director to lead end-to-end strategic sourcing initiatives across global operations. This individual contributor role will own the full 7-step sourcing lifecycle, translating complex spend data and market intelligence into actionable procurement strategies that drive cost savings, supplier performance, and operational excellence.The ideal candidate combines deep category management expertise with strong negotiation skills and cross-functional leadership, partnering closely with Engineering, R&D, and global stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Sourcing & Category ManagementOwn and execute the full 7-step strategic sourcing process for assigned categoriesAnalyze global spend data across wholly owned entities and joint ventures to identify sourcing opportunitiesConduct supply market analysis to assess supplier capabilities, risks, and cost drivers (e.g., raw materials, logistics)Develop and implement category strategies, including supplier selection, pricing models, and contract frameworksDefine and manage RFP/RFQ processes, including performance metrics and evaluation criteria Supplier Selection & NegotiationPerform detailed supplier analysis and establish selection criteriaDevelop negotiation strategies, including target pricing, opening positions, and escalation thresholdsLead complex, high-value supplier negotiations and secure favorable commercial termsManage contract negotiations, execution, and lifecycle Execution & Stakeholder CollaborationPartner with Engineering, R&D, and cross-functional teams on cost optimization and process improvement initiativesEnsure seamless implementation of sourcing strategies through strong stakeholder alignment and communicationLead global category meetings with buyers across multiple sites Supplier Performance & Continuous ImprovementEstablish and manage supplier scorecards and business reviewsMonitor supplier performance, compliance, and quality metricsMaintain and update category strategies, including business continuity plansIdentify and implement new agreements to improve cost efficiency and operational performanceTrack and validate savings, efficiency gains, and sourcing outcomes Required QualificationsBachelor's degree or higher in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related fieldProven experience in supply chain management and category managementStrong background in strategic sourcing and supplier negotiationsTechnical knowledge or experience in semiconductor fabrication (fab environment)Experience sourcing chemicals, bulk gases, and/or cylinder gasesUnderstanding of financial analysis and cost modelingAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Excellent verbal and written communication skills in EnglishAbility to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and work independently Preferred QualificationsExperience in process engineering or semiconductor manufacturing environmentsFluency in Hebrew and/or JapaneseExperience working in global, matrixed organizations Key CompetenciesStrategic thinking and data-driven decision-makingAdvanced negotiation and influencing skillsCross-functional collaboration and stakeholder managementSupplier relationship managementStrong sense of urgency and problem-solving ability Why Join UsHigh-impact role with global visibilityOpportunity to shape sourcing strategy across international operationsCollaborative environment with Engineering and R&D leadershipDirect influence on cost optimization and business performance
