The facility features state-of-the-art technology and equipment, with an integrated clinic and hospital setting that allows for seamless patient care from surgical procedures to recovery.Opportunity:Advanced Practice - Physician Assistant - Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic SurgeryJob Details:• Provide full-time coverage with flexible scheduling requiring minimum 3-4 days availability per week• Work Monday-Friday from 7am-3pm in integrated clinic/hospital setting• Function as OR assist, perform hospital rounds, and provide clinic services all in one location• Handle 5-8 patient encounters per shift with guaranteed 8 hours per day• Participate in 1:2 call schedule splitting 50/50 with one other PA• Weekday call coverage from 3pm-7am during rotation• Weekend call coverage from 3pm Friday to 7am Monday• Callback frequency approximately 1-2 times per month• Must perform radical and endoscope vein harvesting• Interpret EKGs, X-rays, and laboratory results• Manage ECMO, IABP, and Impella devices• Provide ICU and step-down unit patient management• Active California PA license and DEA required• Board certification required with ACLS and BLS certifications• 3-5 years of experience highly preferred• 90-day credentialing timeframe• Overtime applies after 8 hours per dayCompensation:Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
