CJ connects brands with these publishers, creating valuable resources for shoppers like you.OverviewIn this Data Scientist II role at CJ, you will build and scale data science, AI, and analytics solutions that drive smarter marketing decisions and power innovation across the business. You will work at the intersection of machine learning, data engineering, and analytics, developing production‐ready models, data pipelines, and data products that support areas such as LLM visibility, conversational analytics, and next‐generation marketing intelligence.You will partner closely with Data Science, Engineering, and Product teams to design and deliver scalable solutions, including recommendation systems, AI‐driven applications, and modern data workflows. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, working with large‐scale data, and building solutions that are used across both internal teams and client‐facing applications.ResponsibilitiesOwn end‐to‐end data science projects, including scoping, data exploration, modeling, validation, and delivery of insightsAnalyze large‐scale e‐commerce and advertising datasets to find opportunities and support growth strategiesDevelop and maintain machine learning models, including recommendation systems, with a focus on performance and scalabilityBuild and support conversational analytics solutions using modern AI and foundational modelsDesign and implement scalable data pipelines and workflows in a cloud‐based environmentCreate Tableau dashboards and BI‐driven chatbot or agent solutions that translate complex analysis into clear, actionable insightsCollaborate with cross‐functional teams to deliver scalable data and AI solutionsCommunicate technical findings and recommendations to both technical and non‐technical collaboratorsQualifications3 to 5 years of experience in data science, analytics, or a related fieldHands‐on experience with Python, PySpark or Scala, and Tableau or Power BIExperience using GitLab or GitHub for version control and collaborative developmentExperience working with cloud‐based data platforms such as Databricks or SnowflakeExperience in AdTech or MarTech, ideally within e‐commerce, travel, or financeProven ability to build scalable data solutions and deliver actionable insightsExperience working with or building AI‐driven solutions, including LLM‐based applicationsFamiliarity with machine learning techniques such as recommendation systems, clustering, or reinforcement learningStrong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to a range of stakeholdersPreferredExperience integrating LLMs into business workflows or building conversational analytics solutionsExperience developing APIs or services using tools such as FastAPIExperience with medallion architecture for ETL/ELT workflowsAdditional InformationThis is a hybrid role requiring 3 days a week in Atlanta or Chicago.You must be work authorized in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.CI is proud of our innovative technology, comprehensive data solutions and our people. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third‐party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
