Our hardware shop is where the frontier work happens, and it only works when the space itself is in top shape.THE ROLEWe're in the middle of a major office move, and we need someone to own the cleanliness, organization, and physical readiness of our hardware shop through the transition and beyond. This is a hands-on role for someone meticulous, reliable, and hungry to keep a space in top shape - from getting the new shop set up and dialed in, to keeping tools, machines, and inventory running smoothly day to day.We need a dedicated person who takes pride in the environment itself, keeps our tools and machines in good working order, and makes sure the basics never slip while supporting a highly technical team.This role is full-time on-site in Belmont, CA, and is a strong fit for someone who wants to get involved with one of the most exciting robotics companies pushing the boundaries of outdoor, real-world autonomy.What You'll DoKeep the hardware shop clean, organized, and in pristine condition day to day, including floor care and common areasArrange and maintain workstations, staging areas, and equipment zones so engineers can move fastCare for and properly stage sensitive hardware - robots, cameras, LiDAR units, tools, and componentsManage organization and basic inventory of tools, parts, and supplies, including ordering simple replacement items (e.g. broken drill bits) as neededMaintain machine shop equipment and keep it in good working orderRun and manage 3D print queues, keeping printers stocked, calibrated, and producingReceive, ship, and schedule deliveries - make sure nothing gets missed, and coordinate incoming/outgoing shipments in the warehouseCoordinate with outside contractors and vendors for facilities needsMaintain order and safety around heavy equipment and active work areasSpot what needs attention before anyone asks, and handle itWhat We're Looking ForSomeone who gets genuinely excited about walking into a shop or lab and making it clean, organized, and functionalHigh attention to detail and a strong sense of orderComfortable in a hands-on, industrial, hardware-heavy environment, including lifting up to 50 lbs, etc.Valid forklift certification, or willingness to obtain one - we'll provide trainingReliable, proactive, and self-directedA "no task is beneath me" mindset - at Gritt, founders take out the trash, and we expect everyone to pitch in wherever it's neededComfortable handling day-to-day coordination (deliveries, vendors, contractors) - this is for someone who's dependable when it comes to logisticsA plus (or aptitude to learn)Background or interest in hardware/robotics, fabrication tools/machinesWhy GrittYou'll work alongside a team building robotics for the real world, in one of the most ambitious physical-AI companies in the field.
