Business Systems Consultant III

Full-time professional Information Technology Project Development work experience and/or Function/Business Process Analysis work experience. May require an advanced degree and at least 6 years of direct experience in the field. Substitutions: Accredited college training may substitute for the required work experience with a maximum substitution of four (4) years. (Fifteen (15) semester hours in Information Technology or a related area is required.) Accredited graduate training in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related area may substitute for the required work experience with a maximum substitution of two (2) years. (Fifteen (15) semester hours in Information Technology or a related area is required in either the undergraduate or graduate training). Successfully completion of an Information Technology Certification program, may substitute for the required work experience with a maximum substitution of two (2) years. (Proof of certification must accompany application.) Two (2) years of work experience as a Project Manager-Associate ; Quality Assurance Senior Analyst ; Business Systems Consultant-Intermediate ; Quality Assurance Analyst may substitute for all of the required experience.THIS IS PART TIME - ONSITE - 1 YR SCHEDULE WILL BE NEGOTIATED IF SELECETEDThe purpose of this request is to procure Business Systems Analysis Services to support the administration of the Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) environment, and to provide occasional backup support to the administration of the Microsoft Power Business Intelligence (Power BI) environment.SSRS and Power BI are among the agency's primary reporting tools and require administration for the enterprise. SSRS and Power BI reports are produced across the agency, but primarily within the Business Intelligence/Data Warehouse (BI/DW) program. BI/DW is an enterprise program that delivers a variety of ODOT data for performing strategic and tactical data analytics.ODOT has a need to perform analysis to maintain relevant documentation of standards, processes, procedures, tools, techniques, and training for internal (agency) customers using SSRS and Power BI. In addition, these reporting environments are maturing and there is a need to maintain the environments by monitoring the standards and rules that have been established.
