Communicate clearly with patients to explain procedures, reduce anxiety, and ensure cooperation. Accurately code, track, and document exams in RIS; ensure proper image transfer to ISITE and charge entry. Apply independent judgment to adjust protocols and safely administer ionizing radiation. Operate advanced imaging equipment to acquire, analyze, and document diagnostic images. Maintain flexibility to support multiple clinical areas and adapt to changing patient volumes and workflows. Collaborate effectively with physicians, staff, and leadership to deliver efficient, high-quality patient care. Administer oral and rectal contrast as ordered, in accordance with department policies. Verify patient identity using two identifiers, review history/orders, and document accurately in the electronic record. Serve as a supportive team member and resource, demonstrating a commitment to learning and mentoring others. Schedule: Rotating variety of days and shifts. May be subject to other days/shifts depending on hospital needs.Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology. When rotating between two or more specialties, must hold registry in each specialty. Must have obtained a performance review rating of strong/solid/good on most recent performance review to be eligible for promotion. Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:ARRT certified in Radiography with a secondary Imaging Registry required. Must maintain 2 imaging registries/certifications and maintain competency in all as required by hiring Business Unit. Diagnostic Tech's who rotate between Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology are required to have their primary registry in Radiology only and maintain competency in Interventional Radiology. Must be willing and demonstrate flexibility to be assigned to any of the maintained registries by leadership. Must provide flexibility to work least one off-shift (evening, nights or weekend), every 90 days as requested by imaging leadership.
