Controls Engineer OR Controls Technician - Our client has the ability to flex up or down depending on experienceControls Engineer: Must have a bachelor’s degree OR engineering title on their resume and doing real engineering work Controls Technician: Degree not required, will look at anyone 3+ years that has a good technical foundation but they can train.OUR CLIENT is a growing advanced manufacturing operation in the Columbus, IN area is seeking a Controls Engineer or Controls Technician to support and enhance automated production systems. This role will focus on troubleshooting, programming, and improving controls systems across highly automated manufacturing equipment.Key ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot and support PLC-controlled automated manufacturing equipmentModify and develop PLC and HMI programs to improve system performance and reliabilitySupport machine vision systems and automated inspection technologiesWork with maintenance and engineering teams to resolve electrical and controls issuesAssist with system upgrades, commissioning, and continuous improvement initiativesMaintain and troubleshoot industrial networking and communication systemsRequired Technical SkillsCandidates must be proficient with the following:PLCs: Allen Bradley and SiemensHMIs: FactoryTalk and WonderwareVision Systems: KeyenceIndustrial Networks: Ethernet / SCADA systemsDrives: Nidec VFDsIdeal BackgroundExperience supporting automated manufacturing environmentsStrong troubleshooting and programming capability in controls systemsControls Engineer or strong Controls Technician background welcomeAbility to work hands-on with equipment on the plant floorThis is an excellent opportunity to join a stable manufacturing organization investing heavily in automation and advanced manufacturing technologies
