Through transparent collaboration and disciplined project execution, we deliver resilient structures that serve communities while minimizing impacts to the public and the environment.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site role for a Construction Estimator, located in Southern California. The Construction Estimator will be responsible for preparing proposals' cost estimates, day-to-day tasks include analyzing project plans and specifications, collaborating with project managers and vendors, and preparing accurate and competitive bids. The role involves communicating with clients and stakeholders to provide updates and clarifications during the bid process. Key ResponsibilitiesSupport public works proposals and completion of bid packagesReview and interpret civil plans, profiles, drainage drawings, contour maps and grading plansPerform detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates Maintain accurate itemized pricing and up-to-date subcontractor pricing databasesReview bid specifications, and contract requirementsDetail-oriented, with the ability to work under tight deadlinesQualificationsBachelor’s degree in construction management or civil engineeringProficiency in Construction Estimating and Quantity Take-offsStrong skills in Cost Management and BudgetingExperience working with a contractor on public works or general public projectsEffective Communication skills, both written and verbalProficiency in job-related software, such as estimating software and Microsoft ExcelIf you are a detail-oriented with the ability to work under tight deadlines, send your resume to info@kbmcg.com for consideration.
