Mobile Developer; IOS & Android

Candidate must be able to commute to Somerville NJ on an as needed basis.Summary Of ResponsibilitiesThe Mobile Developer will be working with the development team to develop and maintain quality mobile applications for both iOS and Android. The position includes full cycle project leadership including application architecture, design input, app layout/user interface, and database design/programming. The role requires the person to be a motivated and energetic developer who takes initiative, enjoys finding solutions to a varying number of challenges, is detail-oriented, and takes extreme pride in their work.DutiesWork closely with Software Development Manager, the software development team, contracted developers, and company departments (Marketing, Engineering, Sales, IT) to develop and maintain new and existing mobile applications for both internal and external users. The ability to understand and create efficient pathways to large amounts of information is critical in implementing these applications. The role requires utilization of expertise from past experiences to provide the correct path regarding different types of applications. The individual will take responsibility for updating and maintaining all company mobile applications, while keeping current with trends and advancements in mobile/web technology.BS in computer science or a related field, or significant equivalent experience2-4 years of overall experience in developing mobile applications for iOS and/or Android1-3 years of overall experience with JavaScript and React NativeAbility to demonstrate a portfolio of past workEagerness to learn new platforms, libraries, and development tools if they are needed throughout the lifecycle of a projectExperience and a complete understanding of GitA solid understanding of mobile application development processes, including the user interface, on-device databases, and RESTful APIs Experience integrating third-party libraries and APIsStrong communication and writing skillsAbility to communicate directly with peers, managers, contracted programmers and end-users while leading development to a completed and successful solutionStrong organization skills to manage multiple timelines and complete tasks quickly within the constraints of the company’s timelines and budgetsAbility to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly and master diverse mobile/web technologies and techniques
