Lighting Retrofit & Outdoor Installation Electrician (High/Low Voltage)

Job Overview: Lights Over Atlanta is seeking a licensed High/Low Voltage Electrician to join our team as we expand our commercial lighting offerings across Metro Atlanta. This role will include a mix of commercial lighting retrofits, maintenance and troubleshooting of existing systems, new installations, and outdoor landscape lighting projects. As we continue to grow our commercial division, you will play a key role in setting the electrical standard for our work while helping train future electricians and technicians on our team. This is not a new-construction wire-pulling position. This is hands-on electrical work in finished commercial spaces, outdoor environments, and architectural settings where clean, professional craftsmanship matters. Pay: $55,000 – $75,000 per year based on experience, licensing, and commercial electrical knowledge. Qualifications (Required): Active Georgia Electrical License or Certification Strong knowledge of both low voltage (12V/24V) and line voltage (120V/277V) systems Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (no DUIs, no super speeder tickets, and less than three violations in the past 3 years) Pass background check Reliable transportation to and from our Kennesaw office Skills and Experience: Experience performing LED retrofits and lighting upgrades in commercial buildings Ability to read lighting plans, wiring diagrams, and troubleshoot existing systems Experience with conduit, junction boxes, and code-compliant wiring methods Knowledge of drivers, transformers, sensors, and lighting controls Comfortable working on lifts, ladders, and in finished spaces Comfortable working outdoors on landscape lighting installations when needed Experience leading jobs or small crews Hand and power tool proficiency Physically capable of climbing, lifting, and working with extension ladders Bilingual English/Spanish is a huge plus Soft Skills: Professional communication with customers, property managers, and general contractors Strong problem-solving mindset High attention to detail and respect for customer property Leadership mentality with pride in craftsmanship Punctual, reliable, and self-motivated Responsibilities: Perform and oversee commercial lighting retrofits and upgrades Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain existing lighting systems Install new indoor and outdoor lighting systems per plan Run and terminate both low voltage and line voltage wiring Install conduit, junction boxes, drivers, transformers, and controls to code Core/drill into hardscape and trench for fixture placement when needed Help train and mentor future electricians and technicians on proper electrical practices Ensure all work meets safety and electrical standards Maintain and care for company vehicles and tools Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM Training: We will train you on our specific lighting installation methods and systems.
