Location: Near Blue Eye, MO (Missouri)Start Date: 02-24-2025End Date: Ongoing We are currently seeking a skilled Physician Assistant in Cardiology for a locum tenens assignment in Missouri, near Blue Eye. This position offers a great opportunity to contribute to both inpatient and outpatient care, with scheduled clinical hours and on-call responsibilities. Key Responsibilities: Work Setting: Provide care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Clinical Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM for outpatient work; 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM for inpatient duties. Call Duty: In-house call with patient floor call responsibilities, approximately 4-5 calls on weekdays and 1 weekend per month. Patient Load: Around 19 patients per shift (varies with clinical setting). Rounds and Consults: Conduct rounds, inpatient hospital work, and consultations on cardiac floors, including ICU. Telehealth: Available for bad weather days as needed. Required Qualifications: Board Certification: Must be board-certified in Cardiology or a related specialty. Licensing: Must be licensed in Missouri or possess IMLC (Interstate Medical Licensure Compact) license. Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS are mandatory. Experience: Previous cardiology experience is required. Supervision: Ability to supervise advanced practice providers and manage a team of support staff including RNs, MAs, and PAs.
