This position works to ensure consistent application of HR policies while supporting the operational needs of local program leadership. This role requires strong organizational skills, discretion, and the ability to manage projects in a complex regulatory and programming environment.Key ResponsibilitiesRecruitment & Employment Manage job postings for various programsTrack candidates through the full pre-hire process, including background checks, drug screens, and required clearancesCoordinate remote pre-employment background checks and drug testingMaintain accurate recruitment records in compliance with organizational and accreditation standardsHiring & Onboarding Present candidates for hiring approval and extend employment offersCoordinate new hire onboarding, including benefits orientation and required documentationCoordinate with IT and administrative staff regarding equipment and access needsMaintain onboarding follow-ups and required timelines (30-day, 60-day, and ongoing) Conducts quality assurance reviews to ensure background checks are submitted completely and accurately prior to submission and within the required timeframes and deadlines.Employee Records & HR Administration Maintain employee personnel, medical, and I-9 files in accordance with retention and confidentiality requirementsTrack employment authorizations, background checks, renewals, and compliance deadlinesProcess employee changesSupport evaluation processes, including 60-day and annual reviewsProvide support related to FMLA, workplace injuries, and First Reports of InjuryConduct or coordinate exit interviews and exit surveysCompliance & Reporting Support audits, reviews, and regulatory inquiriesMaintain compliance with state, federal, and program-specific personnel requirementsPrepare HR documentation and reports as requestedProgram-Specific HR Support Support personnel requirements, including suitability determinations, immunizations, system access, and fingerprint trackingCoordinate required approvals and documentation with program leadership and external partnersQualifications Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred , or 2-4 years of HR experience , preferably in a nonprofit, behavioral health, or human services environment.
