Job Purpose: The Service Technical Specialist provides product technical support to CNH Employees & Dealers. You will be a team member within the North American Product Support organization, dedicated to a product competency, such as: High horsepower tractors & engines Crop production, harvesting & application Medium/low horsepower tractors, & hay tools The product technical support teams have three primary roles: Provide expert technical advice to CNH dealer service department technicians and CNH Field Service staff Improve reliability and serviceability of CNH products through collaboration with responsible teams Author and maintain supplemental service information and solutions to aid dealer knowledge and speed to resolution This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule requiring 3 days in office and can be located in New Holland, PA, Ames, IA or Racine, WI. Standard work hours of 8am – 5pm with possible seasonal extended hours or partial Saturday hours (team rotation). Key Responsibilities: Answer technical questions from CNH dealers, or from CNH Field Service staff, using personal knowledge, product training, experience, and available reference sources in a timely and urgent manner Act as "product expert" on assigned products to Diagnose and trouble-shoot equipment problems Use mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic test equipment to interpret fault codes, and operating parameters for acceptable product performance Efficiently communication with CNH dealer personnel via contact management system written communication, or via phone support Provide solutions consistent with CNH objectives, while also being attentive to the cost of repairs Maintain positive and constructive relationships with Engineering and Technical Publications employees Provide regular feedback of current issues that CNH dealers are experiencing with CNH equipment Document all technical questions and data to be used for future reference by other Service Technical Specialists Create additional technical troubleshooting documents in the self-help database Development of evidence packages for CNH Product Quality, Engineering and Manufacturing to improve reliability and serviceability of CNH products Other duties as assigned Experience Required: Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Ag Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering, Ag Systems Technology. In lieu of a Bachelor's Degree will accept an Associates Degree and 5+ years of technical experience with mobile equipment Strong understanding and aptitude for mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic system operation Prior experience using Microsoft Office programs such as Outlook, Word and Excel as part of your daily business activities Ability to travel up to 10% Preferred Qualifications: Two (2) or greater years experience working mechanically with agriculture equipment, construction equipment and/or heavy trucks Three (3) or greater years of technical experience with mobile equipment Understanding of digital controller operation and controller communication methods such as CAN, LIN, and Ethernet Pay Transparency: The annual salary for this role is USD $55,725.00 - $97,750.00 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)
