Snowflake Developer – Python & SQL Server

*Snowflake Developer – Python & SQL ServerJob Description* We are seeking an experienced *Snowflake Developer with strong Python and SQL Server skills* to design, develop, and maintain scalable data solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Snowflake data warehousing, SQL Server databases, Python programming, ETL/ELT processes, and cloud-based data integration. *Key Responsibilities* * Design and develop scalable data warehouse solutions using *Snowflake*. * Develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, CTEs, and analytical queries. * Work extensively with *SQL Server* for source-system analysis, data extraction, transformation, and validation. * Develop Python scripts for data processing, automation, validation, and ETL/ELT workflows. * Build and maintain *ETL/ELT pipelines* to load data from SQL Server and other source systems into Snowflake. * Implement Snowflake features including *Stages, File Formats, Streams, Tasks, Snowpipe, Time Travel, Zero-Copy Cloning, and Dynamic Tables*. * Perform data transformation, cleansing, reconciliation, and performance optimization. * Develop reusable Python utilities for data ingestion and pipeline automation. * Optimize Snowflake SQL queries and warehouse usage for performance and cost efficiency. * Implement incremental data loading and *Change Data Capture (CDC)* strategies. * Troubleshoot data pipeline failures and production issues. * Perform data validation and ensure data quality and consistency between SQL Server and Snowflake. * Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, architects, and business teams to understand requirements. * Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and production support. * Maintain technical documentation for data pipelines, processes, and database objects. Required Skills * 3+ years of experience in *Snowflake Development/Data Engineering*. * Strong hands-on experience with *Snowflake SQL*. * Strong knowledge of *SQL Server/T-SQL*. * Good programming experience in *Python*. * Experience with ETL/ELT development and data integration. * Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, including *fact and dimension tables, star schema, and slowly changing dimensions (SCD)*. * Experience with Snowflake performance tuning and query optimization. * Experience working with structured and semi-structured data such as *JSON, XML, and VARIANT*. * Knowledge of Snowflake security concepts including roles, privileges, warehouses, databases, schemas, and access controls. * Experience with Git and CI/CD processes. * Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Preferred Skills * Experience with *Matillion, dbt, Informatica, or other ETL tools*. * Experience with AWS or Azure cloud platforms. * Knowledge of *Apache Airflow*. * Experience with REST APIs and web services. * Knowledge of Docker and cloud-based deployment. * Experience with monitoring and production support. * Familiarity with DevOps and automated deployment practices. *Education* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. *Experience Level* *3–6 years* Employment Type *Full-Time* Location *Remote / Hybrid / Onsite – Based on Business Requirement* Pay: $50.00 per hour Work Location: In person
