The Nursing Assistant assists with the delivery of patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse. The primary responsibility will be focus on performing technical, therapeutic, administrative tasks and procedures for which they have been trained. The Nursing Assistant must demonstrate the ability and willingness to participate in a patient care team as a multi-skilled caregiver responsible for quality of own work and remain flexible in response to change.Examples of tasks to be completed Vital SignsHeight and WeightOxygen SaturationReporting all unusual observations to the nurseCollecting various specimens for analysisRecording and measuring intake and outputProviding patient with personal care and assisting with daily activitiesPerforming basic clinical procedures independently or under the supervision of the RNProvide nutritional needs including assisting and ordering room service, setting up meal trays and feeding. Education/Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent requiredAbility to read/write and perform basic 4 function mathDesire to help people and/or have aspirations of becoming a healthcare professionalBasic computer skills (preferred)Medical terminology (preferred)Basic Life Support certification (BLS) required within 90 days of hire.Certification/License: CNA Certification preferred but not required upon hire Every other weekend/ every other holiday requiredBeverly Hospital promotes the culture and philosophy which enables employees to give and receive the best of care. Pay Range: $19.50 - $26.24The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.
