Job Duties & Responsibilities
Ensures plant operation by completing preventive maintenance requirements on production related equipment; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specification; trouble shooting malfunctions.
Locates sources of problems by observing production equipment in operations; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.
Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
Controls downtime by performing maintenance takes as directed
Fabricates and repairs parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment such as a mill and lathe.
Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level;
Prepared mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks.
Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related takes as needed.
Able to program and trouble shoot equipment using PLC.
Meeting physical demands that come with working in a manufacturing facility for at least 50% of the work shift. For example; Be able to stand up to 6 hours at a time; push, pull and/or lift up to 50lbs, recognize Colors, able to manipulate small parts repetitively; able to wear required PPR; ability to walk up stairs and have the ability to stoop, bend, or crawl and able to reach above head repetitively..
