Pre-Press Plate Technician

We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Pre-Press Plate Technician to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing printing plates used in the production of secure printed materials. Your expertise will ensure that all plates meet stringent quality standards and technical specifications, supporting our mission to deliver secure, high-quality products efficiently.ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate pre-press equipment to produce printing plates with precision and accuracyInspect and verify digital files for color accuracy, layout, typography, and image quality before plate creationManage color management processes to ensure consistency across print runsUse graphic design skills and Adobe Creative Suite tools to prepare files for plate productionConduct quality control checks on plates to identify defects or inconsistenciesMaintain detailed records of plate production processes and adjustmentsCollaborate with manufacturing teams to troubleshoot technical issues related to plate preparation or equipmentSkillsProficiency in prepress operations and experience with screen printing or flexo press preparationStrong understanding of color management principles and graphic design fundamentalsSkilled in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) for file editing and layout adjustmentsKnowledge of manufacturing processes related to printing and CNC machining is a plusAbility to operate machinery such as CNC equipment and flexo presses with precisionFamiliarity with typography, layout design, and print advertising standardsValid forklift certification or ability to operate forklifts safely when neededAttention to detail for quality control inspections and defect identification
