Successful candidates will have experience in algorithm development, software design and development. The ideal candidate is an independent and fast-paced developer with excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for good software architectures and processes, capable of producing robust, high-quality code in the face of rapidly changing requirements.Essential Job DutiesParticipating in the full cycle of the development of intraoperative surgical softwareUnderstanding clinical requirements and developing technical specificationsDesigning, prototyping, and implementing user-facing software and computer vision / machine learning algorithmsIterating with user feedback and delivering production-ready codeSupporting system integration and testingGenerating formal design documentationPreparing and review patent applicationsContributing to system and software architectureStaying up-to-date with the latest model architectures and development trends and technologies, and proposing innovative solutions to enhance our software algorithmsQualificationsRequired Education, Skills and ExperienceMinimum Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fieldsDeep understanding and hands-on experience in computer vision, and machine learning algorithm developmentKnowledge and experience in one or more of the following areas: image segmentation / registration / reconstructionSoftware development experience using C++ or Python, and experience with OOP designFamiliar with one or more tools and libraries: OpenCV, PyTorch / TensorFlow, ITK / VTKStrong verbal and written communication skillsHigh levels of independence and technical ownershipPreferred Skills And ExperienceProficiency in GPU programming such as CUDAExperience with software development process in a regulated medical device environmentKnowledge and experience in camera pose estimation / SLAMAdditional InformationDue to the nature of our business and the role, please note that Intuitive and/or your customer(s) may require that you show current proof of vaccination against certain diseases including COVID-19. The target compensation ranges are listed.Base Salary Range Region 1:$196,800 - $283,200Base Salary Range Region 2: $167,300 - $240,700Shift: DayWorkplace Type: Onsite - This job is fully onsite.
