Apply today!Find out if this opportunity is a good fit by reading all of the information that follows below.Title: Procurement Project ManagerLocation: Houston, TXContract with options to extend or more!Position OverviewThe Procurement Project Manager serves as a critical liaison between Procurement, Business Units, Joint Ventures (JV), and third-party partners, ensuring seamless execution of sourcing and purchasing activities for capital projects. This role is responsible for driving value through strategic procurement practices, aligning with global purchasing strategies, and supporting project success across cost, quality, delivery, and safety objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as the primary liaison between Procurement, business stakeholders, JV partners, third-party affiliates, and the project owner teamLead sourcing and purchasing activities for all project-related equipment, materials, commodities, construction labor, and servicesEnsure adherence to global procurement strategies, operating discipline, and capital procurement work processesServe as a key member of the project team, helping define procurement needs and communicating requirements to the Strategic Sourcing CenterProvide consulting, training, and guidance to project teams on procurement best practices and processesDevelop and manage procurement schedules to align with overall project timelines, risk management plans, and critical equipment delivery milestonesMonitor supplier performance and act as the primary point of contact to ensure on-time delivery of materials and servicesSupport project execution through the Global Project Methodology (GPM), ensuring procurement contributes to overall project successRequired QualificationsMinimum of 10 years of related experience in procurement, sourcing, or project managementProven experience supporting capital projects and complex procurement initiativesStrong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skillsPreferred QualificationsAdvanced degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related fieldSix Sigma Green Belt (or higher) with project leadership experienceExperience working across multiple functions, business units, or global organizationsWhy This Role MattersThis position plays a vital role in ensuring procurement excellence within capital projects—driving efficiency, mitigating risk, and delivering measurable value across the organization. xywuqvpOpTech/G-Tech is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE), all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
