Line Cook/Prep Cook
We are looking for a Line Cook/Prep Chef to join our team and prepare delicious meals for our customers. Our cafe prepares freshly made breakfast and lunch offerings and is open daily until 2:30. We are looking for reliable, hard working, positive-minded individuals to join our team! Ultimately, you’ll prepare and deliver our complete menu for in house dining, take away meals and light catering that delights our guests.
Responsibilities
Learn & execute the menu quickly & efficiently
Provide high quality meals for our guests
Work well with your team to create a positive work environment
Work in concert with Kitchen manager to assure efficiencies & assist managers and staff as needed
Slightly modify recipes to meet customers’ needs and requests (e.g. reduce salt, remove dairy)
Monitor food stock, FIFO
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area, Food Safety Manager Certified
Skills
Proven work experience as a Chef or Line Cook
Hands-on experience with various kitchen equipment
Advanced knowledge of culinary techniques
Leadership skills
Ability to remain calm and undertake various tasks
Excellent time management abilities
Familiarity with sanitation regulations
Culinary school diploma preferred
