QA Engineer

PeerSource is currently recruiting for a Quality Assurance Engineer on a Contract-to-Hire basis for our client in Loveland, CO. Full benefits are offered during the 6-month contract period prior to converting full-time.SummaryThis role is responsible for leading both manual and automated testing efforts across multiple agile development teams delivering digital products. The position partners closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure high-quality releases, improve testing efficiency, and drive automation maturity. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in test strategy, defect management, and modern QA tools within a scaled agile environment.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases based on business and technical requirementsPerform both manual and automated testing across multiple agile teams, including coordination with external vendorsIdentify, document, and track defects, working closely with developers and product owners to drive resolutionContribute to and implement strategies that transition testing efforts from manual to automated approachesCollaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, architecture) to ensure alignment on quality objectivesMonitor testing progress and quality metrics, leveraging tools such as Azure DevOps to provide reporting and insightsEvaluate risks, dependencies, and edge cases to ensure thorough test coverage across applicationsSupport continuous improvement initiatives including “shift-left” testing and overall QA process optimizationRequired Skills2-5+ years of experience in software testing, including hands-on manual testingExperience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright, and BDD frameworks like CucumberExperience with mobile test automation tools such as AppiumFamiliarity with Azure DevOps or similar tools for test management, tracking, and reportingExperience working within the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and supporting multiple agile teams simultaneouslyStrong analytical skills with the ability to identify risks, interpret requirements, and ensure quality outcomesAbility to collaborate effectively across distributed global teamsBachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent experience)Experience in regulated environments such as healthcare, diagnostics, or similar industries is a plus.
