Maintenance Mechanic in Reno, NVFull-Time BenefitsShift: Monday - Thursday 3:15 PM – 1:45 AM, with frequent overtime on FridaysWe’re seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to support daily plant operations. This role is ideal for mechanically inclined individuals with a trades background or recent technical school graduates. Positive, eager to learn, and ready to grow in their career. Key ResponsibilitiesPerform preventative maintenance and repairs on belts, piping, filters, mixers, conveyors, valves, bearings, and seals.Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment to resolve and prevent issuesMaintain and repair pumps, motors, drives, conveyors, pneumatics, and production equipmentInstall and service control devices, sensors, and motor control systemsTroubleshoot PLCs (Allen Bradley preferred) and 480V 3-phase electrical systemsRead and work from blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical documentsQualifications3–5 years of mechanical maintenance or skilled trades experienceVocational/Trade school equates 2 years of work/field experience for this roleMust be 18 years of age, High school diploma or GED requiredStrong Mechanical and Electrical Troubleshooting skillsPLC troubleshooting experience (Allen Bradley preferred)Experience with hand tools and power toolsAbility to read technical drawings and work independentlyBasic computer skills such as MS Office applications; CMMS experience a plusFabrication and Welding experience a plusPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 50 poundsAbility to stand, climb ladders, work at heights, kneel, crouch, and work in confined spacesAbility to work in hot, cold, dusty, noisy, or industrial environmentsSoft Skills / ReliabilityDemonstrated sense of urgency and ownershipStrong attendance and reliabilityAbility to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environmentAbility to communicate effectively with operations, production, and leadership teamsSolution orientedSafety & ComplianceFollow all plant safety policies, OSHA regulations such as lockout/tagout (LOTO), confined space, PPE requirements, etc.Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S and housekeeping standardsSafely work around chemicals, pumps, tanks, and pressurized systemsParticipate in safety meetings, audits, and continuous improvement initiativesDo you want to add a little color to your career?
