Job Title: Program Marketing ManagerStart Date: No later than Monday, August 10thDuration: Freelance to Potential Full-Time (37.5 - 40 hours per week)Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid - 3 days per week onsite)Overview:Our client, a leading national membership organization, is seeking a Program Marketing Manager to join their team in Chicago, 37.5-40 hours per week. This role serves as a strategic marketing partner supporting Technology & Innovation and Communications initiatives, helping drive awareness, engagement, adoption, and measurable business outcomes through integrated marketing campaigns. This position is ideal for a strategic marketer who understands communications and public relations environments, can navigate fast-paced newsroom-style dynamics, and has experience promoting content-driven initiatives such as podcasts, newsletters, thought leadership, and digital products. The ideal candidate will be highly data-driven, skilled at stakeholder management, and comfortable partnering across creative, social, content, digital, analytics, and communications teams to deliver impactful campaigns.Responsibilities:Serve as the primary marketing advisor for Technology & Innovation and Communications programs, products, and initiatives.Develop integrated marketing strategies and campaigns that support business objectives and audience needs.Create annual marketing plans, campaign roadmaps, audience strategies, messaging frameworks, channel recommendations, and performance measurement plans.Partner with communications and PR stakeholders to promote organizational initiatives, research, leadership communications, and thought leadership content.Develop strategies to grow podcast audiences, increase newsletter subscribers, and maximize engagement across content channels.Create promotional plans for podcasts, newsletters, thought leadership programs, and multimedia content.Drive member awareness, engagement, and adoption of technology platforms, digital tools, and innovation resources, including member-facing products and services.Translate complex technical concepts into clear, audience-centric messaging and value propositions.Lead audience segmentation, customer journey planning, campaign optimization, and performance analysis.Partner with creative, social media, digital, web, content, analytics, and communications teams to execute campaigns.Manage cross-functional stakeholders, balancing multiple priorities and providing strategic marketing guidance.Support event marketing initiatives, including promotion of industry events, conferences, and member engagement opportunities.Coordinate event-related campaign execution and occasional logistics support, including booth and onsite promotional activities.Monitor campaign performance, analyze results, and provide actionable recommendations for optimization.Provide leadership and direction to a Marketing Specialist and support campaign execution through cross-functional teams.Utilize project management platforms such as Workfront to manage workflows and campaign delivery.Requirements:Must-HavesBachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.5+ years of experience developing and leading integrated marketing campaigns and strategies.Experience serving as a strategic marketing partner or advisor to internal stakeholders.Strong understanding of communications, public relations, earned media, and organizational messaging.Experience promoting content programs, podcasts, newsletters, thought leadership initiatives, or member-facing resources.Strong knowledge of audience segmentation, customer journeys, positioning, and campaign strategy.Data-driven mindset with experience analyzing campaign performance and optimizing marketing efforts.Ability to translate complex information and technical subject matter into compelling marketing strategies and messaging.Excellent stakeholder management, relationship-building, and cross-functional collaboration skills.Experience partnering with Creative, Content, Social Media, Web, Digital, Communications, and Analytics teams.Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives.Nice-to-HavesExperience marketing technology products, digital tools, SaaS platforms, or member-focused technology solutions.Experience with Workfront, Jira, Iterable, and/or Adobe Analytics.In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data.
