Corporate Controller

Corporate Controller Company OverviewWe are a private‑equity‑backed manufacturing and distribution company with approximately $90 million in annual revenue. The company operates in a multi‑location environment. Position SummaryThe Corporate Controller is responsible for all accounting operations, financial close and reporting, internal controls, and technical accounting. This role partners closely with the CFO, executive leadership, and the private‑equity sponsor to ensure timely, accurate, decision‑useful financial information and to support value creation through organic growth and add‑on acquisitions.Key Responsibilities·      Own and lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for the consolidated company including all general ledger activity and account reconciliations.·      Prepare GAAP‑compliant financial statements and management reporting packages for leadership, lenders, and private‑equity sponsors with support from Director FP&A ·      Support the review of standard costing, variance analysis, inventory reserves, and overhead absorption.·      Maintain robust internal controls and serve as primary accounting lead for annual financial audits.·      Lead, develop, and scale the accounting team while driving process, controls, and ERP improvements. ·      Develop and implement financial policies.·      Supporting the preparation of corporate and state tax returns ·      Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions with three direct reports: assistant controller, AP and AR analysts. Add‑On Acquisition Integration Responsibilities·      Serve as accounting lead during financial due diligence for add‑on acquisitions, supporting data requests, quality of earnings analysis, and assessment of accounting risks.·      Develop and execute post‑close accounting integration plans in coordination with the CFO, operations, IT, and private‑equity sponsor.·      Align acquired entities to company accounting policies, chart of accounts, close calendar, and internal control standards.·      Assess and remediate gaps in accounting processes, controls, and financial reporting at acquired businesses.·      Lead integration of acquired entities into the company’s ERP and reporting systems, including data mapping, opening balance sheets, and historical data conversion.·      Ensure accurate purchase accounting, including opening balance sheet adjustments, inventory valuation, and working capital normalization.·      Standardize cost accounting methodologies across legacy and acquired businesses to ensure consistent margin and performance reporting.·      Coordinate with external auditors and advisors on acquisition‑related accounting matters and audit requirements.·      Support leadership with integration status reporting, synergy tracking, and identification of accounting‑driven value‑creation opportunities.·      Establish scalable integration playbooks and repeatable processes to support future add‑on acquisitions.Qualifications·      Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA strongly preferred.·      8+ years of progressive accounting experience in manufacturing and/or distribution environments·      Strong leadership, communication, and changing management skills.·      Experience managing a staff of accountants / analysts.·      Experience integrating add‑on acquisitions in a private‑equity‑backed or highly acquisitive environment.·      Strong ERP, systems integration, and advanced Excel skillsCompensation & Incentives (Plymouth Meeting, PA)Base Salary: TBDDiscretionary Annual Bonus: TBD Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, PTO, and limited hybrid flexibility
