Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Senior Network Administrator role located in Herkimer, NY. The Senior Network Administrator will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the organization's network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security. Daily tasks include configuring network hardware, troubleshooting network issues, maintaining system integrity, and providing technical support for other departments. Additionally, this role involves monitoring network performance, implementing security measures, and ensuring compliance with county and state IT regulations. Qualifications Expertise in Networking: Experience with configuring and managing LAN/WAN, switches, routers, firewalls, and Wi-Fi systems.System Administration: Proficiency in managing servers, operating systems, and virtualized environments (e.g., VMware or Hyper-V).Security and Compliance: Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, VPNs, and compliance with IT security standards and regulations.Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Strong diagnostic skills to manage and resolve network and connectivity issues promptly.Project Management: Ability to plan, implement, and oversee large-scale network projects while coordinating with other teams and stakeholders.Communication and Collaboration: Strong written and verbal communication skills for documentation and working with diverse teams.Additional benefits: Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+), experience with government IT systems, and knowledge of cloud technologies are highly desirable.
