They will also help ensure roofs are installed and repaired safely, and guide our laborers as needed.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Transport and load/unload roofing materials in truckApply roofing materials as requiredInspect roofing for damage and perform any needed repairsClean rooftops by removing leaves, ice and other debrisUse hand tools such as hammers, electric staplers and electric spraying toolsPerforms other work-duties as assignedMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:2 year Roofing ExperienceHigh school education or GEDConstruction safety certification such as OSHA training is a plusPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Valid Driver's LicenseSpray coating experience a plusKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:Physical fitness level that will allow for quick movement, climbing, bending and lifting heavy loadsPrevious experience in roofing, construction, or related scope of workGeneral knowledge of roofing procedures, techniques, and specialtiesStrong work ethic and desire to perform quality workEndurance to spend hours working in extreme weather conditions such as heat or coldWORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Regularly wear gloves, hard hats, safety goggles, or earplugs, depending on the jobAre sometimes exposed to very hot or very cold temperatures when working outdoorsAble to lift 40 poundsUsually work close to others, typically within a few feetThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
