We are a mission-driven organization committed to advancing respiratory care through education, advocacy, research, and professional development.What You'll DoComplete monthly account reconciliations and ensure financials are accurate and up to dateManage core accounting functions, including month-end close, journal entries, financial reporting, and audit preparationMaintain strong internal controls and support process improvements that enhance efficiency and complianceProvide cross-functional support across Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, cash receipts, and general accounting to maintain workflow continuityServe as a dependable backup to Finance leadership, contributing to analysis, planning, and strategic initiativesWork within multiple accounting and association management systems to prepare and analyze financial dataMeet deadlines within the monthly close calendar and complete required filings, including sales tax and PAC reportsSupport grant billing, reconciliations, and cross-department collaboration to resolve financial issues Partner with external vendors, including CPAs, auditors, and technology teams, to ensure accurate financial statements.What You'll BringBachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field Minimum of five years of progressive accounting experience, including reconciliation and month-end close responsibilitiesStrong understanding of GAAP and internal control best practicesProven ability to analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and implement effective solutionsProfessional communication skills to internal and external customers and team membersUrgent resolution and solutions for financial tasks and issuesExcellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple prioritiesStrong communication and leadership abilities, with experience supporting or supervising accounting staffProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting softwareCommitment to confidentiality and ethical standardsWhy Join Us?Supportive, mission-driven team culture Annual salary of $70,000 Hybrid work schedule (in office 2 days, remote 3 days) at our Dallas-based officePaid time off includes ample vacation, sick, and personal hours, plus 10 paid holidaysOffice closed between Christmas and New Year's (paid time)Medical, dental, and vision insurance with a substantial portion of the premium paid for by AARCHealth Savings Account - AARC contributes half of the annual contribution limit Employer-paid short-term disability, long-term disability, and Employee Assistance Program 401 (k) plan, including up to an 8% employer contribution Tuition reimbursement Ready to Apply?Submit your resume and cover letter by clicking the apply button.
