Job Title - Engineer Network 3 Location - San Diego, California Job DescriptionWe are looking for an Engineer Network 3 to support various programs within the Connectivity and Networked Solutions (CNS) Business Unit. As a member of the CNS team, you will support engineering efforts focused on network operations and security. This is an onsite position based in San Diego, CA.Shift Time: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM (9/80A Schedule)ResponsibilitiesDesign and plan network communication systems.Develop specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture.Provide recommendations for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques, and tools to meet current and future business requirements.Conduct testing and validation of network designs.Maintain technical expertise in network infrastructure and computer hardware/software interconnections, including routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, and gateways.Evaluate emerging communication technologies and recommend improvements to enhance network capabilities.Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree in a STEM field with 5+ years of experience, orMaster's degree in a STEM field with 3+ years of experience, orPhD in a STEM field with 1+ year of experience.CompTIA Network+ or equivalent certification.Experience with Juniper, SD-WAN, and Cisco routers and switches.Preferred QualificationsCompTIA Security+ Certification.CCNA Certification.
