With a primary focus on mining and exploration activities spanning a wide range of commodities – including copper, gold, nickel, zinc, uranium, and other metals and minerals – the Company also supports activities in the energy, oil sands exploration, and environmental sectors.Job OverviewThe Account Manager – E&I, M&E – US is responsible for driving strategic commercial growth across the United States by identifying, developing, and executing market expansion, key account development, and product penetration initiatives within the Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) and Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) segments.This role focuses on maximizing profitability through new business acquisition and expansion within existing accounts, while serving as the primary interface between US sales teams, global product management, and customers. The role ensures alignment between market needs, product strategy, and commercial execution.Key ResponsibilitiesLead US market analysis, competitive intelligence, and regional business planning to identify high-impact growth opportunities within E&I and M&E segmentsDevelop and execute a US commercial strategy aligned with global product priorities and regional business objectivesIdentify target accounts, emerging applications, and whitespace opportunities to expand market shareBuild and maintain executive-level relationships with key customers across the US mining and drilling sectorAct as the primary liaison between US customers and global product management teamsTranslate customer needs into actionable insights to inform product development and commercial strategyPartner with US sales teams to drive new account acquisition and growth within existing customer portfoliosProvide guidance, tools, and coaching to improve sales effectiveness, CRM utilization, and pipeline visibilitySupport opportunity development, value-based selling, and complex deal executionLead US go-to-market execution for E&I and M&E product lines, including positioning, value proposition development, and key account targetingCollaborate with global product managers to localize offerings based on US market requirements and customer feedbackMonitor product performance, adoption rates, and competitive positioningRepresent Boart Longyear at US trade shows, industry events, and customer forums to strengthen brand presence and identify growth opportunitiesMonitor industry trends, competitor activity, emerging technologies, and regulatory developments impacting the US marketPartner with the GTM Country Manager – US, operations, and supply chain teams to ensure commercial alignment and customer satisfactionProvide regular reporting on sales pipeline, business development KPIs, and market insights to senior leadershipSupport forecasting, demand planning, and strategic initiatives across the US regionAll other reasonable duties as assignedKey Skills & CompetenciesStrong consultative sales, negotiation, and key account management skillsSolid understanding of mining/drilling operations, capital equipment, and aftermarket lifecycleStrategic thinker with strong analytical and data-driven decision-making capabilityExecutive presence with effective communication and stakeholder management skillsCommercial and financial acumen, including pricing and margin optimizationAbility to lead cross-functional initiatives in a matrixed global environmentQualificationsEducation: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mining, Mechanical, Industrial, or related), Geology, Business, or a related field required; MBA preferredExperience: 5–7+ years of experience in business development, sales, or commercial roles within mining, drilling, or industrial equipment sectors, with demonstrated success in the US marketProven track record of driving growth, managing key accounts, and executing commercial strategiesLanguages: English requiredPhysical and Environmental ConditionsWork Environment: Remote role with travel across the United States as requiredLifting Requirements: Occasional lifting up to 15 kg (33 lbs) for product samples or trade eventsCompensation, Benefits and PerksA strong compensation planMedical, vision, and dental programRetirement programEmployee recognition rewards program (BRAVO)Employee assistance programAs an Equal Opportunity Employer, we thank all who apply but will only be contacting those selected for an interview.J-18808-Ljbffr
