Direct Counsel is seeking a Data Privacy Litigation Associate Attorney to join a highly respected Am Law firm.LocationSan Francisco, CAOverviewDirect Counsel is partnering with a nationally recognized Am Law firm to identify a junior-to-mid-level associate for its Data Strategy, Security & Privacy team. This is a compelling opportunity for a litigator looking to build a practice at the intersection of privacy law, cybersecurity, and complex commercial litigation.Key ResponsibilitiesRepresent clients in consumer class actions, mass arbitrations, and government enforcement actions involving data privacy and technology-related mattersDraft and contribute to dispositive and procedural motions, including motions to dismiss, compel arbitration, transfer venue, and discovery-related motionsManage discovery processes, including preparing and responding to written discovery and working with client witnessesPrepare for and participate in mediations and other dispute resolution proceedingsCollaborate with attorneys across offices on complex, multi-faceted litigation mattersTake an active, hands-on role throughout all phases of litigationQualifications2–4 years of litigation experienceStrong understanding of civil procedure and litigation strategyExcellent legal research and writing skillsExperience with or exposure to:Dispositive and procedural motion practiceFederal and California state courts and local rulesArbitration forums such as JAMS and AAADiscovery management and client interactionPrior experience or interest in privacy, cybersecurity, intellectual property, or a technical background is a plusStrong academic credentialsAdmission to the California Bar requiredCompensation & BenefitsSalary range: $235,000 – $310,000, depending on experience and qualificationsComprehensive benefits package offered
