Job Family Group:FacultyTime Type:Part timeDepartment/Office:Modern Languages & LiteraturesExemption Status:ExemptJob Description:Trinity University is seeking a Part-Time Faculty for the Summer 2026 semester to teach the following course(s):GERM 1401-1: Elementary German IDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESTypical responsibilities of part-time faculty members include but are not limited to:Developing the course syllabus and ensuring that the syllabus meets departmental and University standardsDesigning and delivering lectures, discussions, in-class activities, and assignmentsGrading assigned papers, quizzes, and examsAssigning early, midterm, and final grades in compliance with University deadlinesMaintaining office hours as directed by the department chair or program directorMaking student accommodations as determined by the Office of Student Accessibility ServicesAdhering to all instructional policies as published in the Faculty Handbook and the Courses of Study BulletinAPPOINTMENT DETAILSThis position will be for a one summer appointment with the possibility of extending it to the Fall 2026 semester.QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATIONRequired:Ph.D in German RequiredEXPERIENCERequired:Must have at least a year of experience in teaching lower-division German coursesLICENSES/CERTIFICATIONSRequired:Must have completed a Ph.
