Quality Technician - Wyoming Area

Job Description:Quality Technician | Wyoming, MISalary Range: $40,000 - $63,000 depending on experienceAre you a skilled professional with a passion for inspection, testing, and ensuring product quality? By joining our network, you gain access to roles worth considering.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products.Utilize precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM) to verify product specifications.Document inspection results accurately, maintain quality records, and prepare inspection reports.Identify and quarantine non-conforming materials or products, initiating appropriate corrective action procedures.Assist in root cause analysis for quality issues and support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.Conduct regular calibration checks and maintain calibration records for inspection equipment.Collaborate with production teams to ensure adherence to quality standards and manufacturing processes.Recommended QualificationsProficiency in using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications, including GD&T.Working knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and quality control methodologies (e.g., SPC).Experience performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.Strong computer skills for data entry, analysis, and reporting.Bonus QualificationsLean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or Green Belt certificationExperience with CMM programming or advanced metrology equipmentProficiency with Statistical Process Control (SPC) softwareInternal auditing experience against ISO 9001 or similar quality standardsJob Titles That Should ApplyQuality Control Technician, QC Technician, Quality Assurance Technician, QA Technician, Quality Inspector, Manufacturing Quality Technician, Production Quality Technician, Quality AssociateWhy Pivot GroupThe Pivot Group was founded by manufacturing professionals who've been on both sides of the hiring process.
