CMM Quality EngineerLocation: Lafayette, INSalary: Up to $75,000 per yearTravel: Less than 10% – primarily local travelEmployment Type: Full-TimePosition SummaryWe are seeking a hands-on CMM Programmer to support measurement, inspection, and quality activities within a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with PC-DMIS Level 3, formal Hexagon training, engineering drawing interpretation, GD&T/tolerance understanding, and hands-on experience working directly on the shop floor.This role will be responsible for developing and maintaining CMM programs, supporting daily inspection and measurement issues, and working closely with manufacturing and engineering teams to resolve product and measurement problems.Experience in any manufacturing industry is acceptable; experience supporting engine, automotive, heavy equipment, or similar manufacturing facilities is preferred.Required QualificationsAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Metrology, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Quality Engineering, or a related technical field preferred.Equivalent hands-on manufacturing/metrology experience will be considered.PC-DMIS Level 3 experience is required.Formal Hexagon PC-DMIS Level 3 training/certification is required.Strong understanding of engineering drawings, dimensions, and tolerances.Hands-on experience with CMM programming and inspection.Experience working directly in a manufacturing/shop-floor environment.Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Ability to develop measurement strategies based on product characteristics and tolerances.Experience working with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams.Experience with Power BI or similar data visualization/reporting tools.Required SkillsMust Have:PC-DMIS Level 3Formal Hexagon PC-DMIS trainingCMM Programming
