Technical and Trade SchoolsNonresidential Building ConstructionIndustrial Machinery ManufacturingBuilding Equipment ContractorsPoultry and Egg ProductionSnapshot / Role OverviewWe're seeking a Building Automation Systems Service Technician in Tampa, FL to provide maintenance, troubleshooting, and programming support for commercial building automation systems.Impact• Maximize building performance by maintaining and optimizing BAS and HVAC controls• Strengthen client relationships through responsive service and proactive system improvements• Reduce energy costs by identifying and resolving inefficiencies in building operations• Drive customer retention through quality service delivery and technical expertiseResponsibilities• Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on building automation systems• Diagnose and resolve issues with controllers, sensors, actuators, and network communications• Modify control sequences, setpoints, and schedules based on customer requirements• Respond to service calls and alarms to restore system operation promptly• Generate trend reports and analyze system performance data• Communicate findings and recommendations to customers clearly and professionally• Complete service documentation, time tracking, and work order updates• Maintain service vehicle inventory and ensure tools are in proper working condition• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergency serviceRequirementsMust-Haves• 2+ years of BAS service or controls experience• Working knowledge of at least one major BAS platform (Tridium, Johnson Controls, Siemens, Schneider Electric, Distech)• Understanding of HVAC systems, control sequences, and DDC operations• Ability to read control drawings, point schedules, and wiring diagrams• Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills• Valid driver's license and clean driving recordNice-to-Haves• BAS manufacturer certifications (Niagara, Metasys, Desigo, StruxureWare, etc.)• Programming experience with graphical programming tools• Network troubleshooting skills (BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, IP networking)• HVAC or electrical backgroundCall to ActionIf you're ready to advance your career in mechanical construction, apply today or connect with us to learn more.
