This means that applications are accepted even though there may not be a position currently available.DescriptionBenefitsQuestionsPosition AnnouncementThe Department of English is seeking to hire part-time (adjunct) instructors to teach first-year writing courses (English 1005, 1010, and 2010) in the classroom and online.Summary of ResponsibilitiesSuccessful candidates will be able to: implement program goals as guided by common assignment sequences, texts, and objectives; prepare effective course plans; establish a supportive classroom environment; evaluate student learning using multiple means of assessment; support a student-centered approach to education; and maintain and submit detailed student grade records. We are also interested in applicants with a willingness to discuss and/or use AI in an ethical and responsible manner with students.
