This role is perfect for someone excited to work at the intersection of robotics, hardware, and real-world challenges, and eager to see their code control 20 tons of steel.ResponsibilitiesArchitect and develop robust 3D perception pipelines for teleoperated and semi-autonomous heavy machineryDesign baseline perception algorithms and progressively enhance them with advanced deep-learning modelsBuild real-time object detection, classification, and tracking systems to improve operator situational awarenessCalibrate and fuse multi-modal sensor data (LiDAR, cameras, radar, GNSS/IMU) ensuring spatial and temporal consistency under dynamic conditionsOptimize perception algorithms for real-time execution on embedded compute platforms (e.g., NVIDIA Jetson Orin), with a focus on low latency, stability, and handling of edge casesQualifications2 to 10 years of perception engineering experience working with autonomous vehicles, preferably in industrial settings such as construction, mining, or agricultureExperience as a founding engineer or founder in an early-stage startup, side project, or similar 0 to 1 building environmentDemonstrated elite skill or exceptional project track record in robotics, perception, or autonomyBachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent from a top-ranked program, with a strong academic recordHands-on experience with building and optimizing perception pipelines on embedded GPUs using ROS2 or similar frameworksProficient coding skills in C++ and Python (or equivalent), with a focus on autonomy/perception for industrial platformsSoft SkillsField-first mindset, comfortable spending approximately 50% of time on construction sites and adapting to challenging environmentsDeep passion for robotics, autonomy, and building impactful technology in real-world settingsReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at Brahma Consulting Group by 2x.Get notified about new Robotics Engineer jobs in San Francisco Bay Area.Seniority LevelMid-Senior levelEmployment TypeFull-timeJob FunctionRobotics Engineering and ConstructionBenefitsMedical insuranceVision insurance401(k)J-18808-Ljbffr
