This position will be based in La Porte, Indiana, with an initial responsibility for overseeing safety at both the St. Joseph County and LaPorte locations. The role involves ensuring that all contractors and subcontractors adhere to safety regulations and project safety standards.Required Skills & Qualifications10 years of experience in construction safety management.Strong leadership skills without direct authority.Ability to influence contractors and drive compliance.Familiarity with high-risk activities such as fall protection, energized electrical work, and crane operationsExperience in risk identification and mitigation.Professional communication and documentation skills.Conflict resolution and diplomatic enforcement abilities.Prior work experience in the client's industry.Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.Preferred Skills & QualificationsExperience with Revit or Bluebeam for document markups.Familiarity with high-risk activities such as fall protection, energized electrical work, and crane operations.Experience in regulatory inspections as the owner's representative.Day-to-Day ResponsibilitiesReview contractor safety plans and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) for compliance.Monitor contractor implementation of approved safety programs.Conduct regular site walkthroughs to ensure safe work practices.Identify unsafe conditions or behaviors and require corrective action.Represent the client's safety interests during construction activities.Escalate unresolved safety concerns to project leadership.Verify contractor compliance with regulatory requirements.Participate in incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented.Company Benefits & CultureCompetitive hourly rate of $80/hr to $100/hr on W2.Opportunities for professional growth and development.Supportive and safety-focused work environment.For immediate consideration, please click APPLY to begin the screening process with Alex.
