All employees are expected to follow safe work practices, as well as adhere to company and client worksite safety policies and proceduresFollow safe work practices and company and client worksite policiesPromote company Core Values to foster and safeguard family-centric culturePrepare complete cost estimates for projectsUnderstand and monitor program of work to ensure estimates are completed prior to deadlinesPerform field take-offs/evaluations for estimate preparationCompare various project documents for accuracy and consistencyParticipate in estimate review process with internal and external stake holdersAssist construction personnel throughout the project life cycle in tracking and understanding basis of cost estimateAssist in the preparation and submission of change ordersFollow-up at the end of a project to close any loops in the estimating processConducts detailed analysis of contract documents and specifications for medium to large hard bid/lump sum projects to determine overall project requirementsTakes ownership of medium to large size estimates or a component of larger estimates and is accountable for that specific work scopeCompletes final cost estimate, adding all labor, equipment, material data, pricing documentation, overhead, and profit margins, and produces a final bid submissionIdentifies associated risk factors, including monitoring of published addenda that may alter original project scopeCompletes full quantity take-off of all labor, equipment, and materials. Captures and understands trade scopes and communicates gaps / missing informationCoordinates and works with sales development and project management team to create site logistics, schedule, and execution planReviews current material and construction equipment pricing and ensures that bid validity and price escalation are addressed and meet project's needsAssists or leads in preparing final bid documents for submission to client to meet contract deadline requirementsSupport estimating efforts of multiple office locationsMaintain data in E2 systemsReads and understand blueprintsWhat We Are Looking ForHigh School Diploma or GED requiredA Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a similar field is highly preferred; A combination of relevant education and experience would be considered in lieu of degreeRCDD is requiredMinimum of five (5) years' experience estimating large scale HYPERSCALE data center projects including mission critical data centers and colocation facilitiesStructured Cabling/Low Voltage industry experience requiredBluebeam expertise is REQUIREDFamiliarity with AutoCAD/BIM360 is preferredMust have a proven understanding of the intricacies of working in the Hyperscale market, including the variations in design between the major hyperscale customers infrastructure platformsMust be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project)Must have the proven ability to design, engineer, estimate and develop a written and graphic representation of the company's proposed solutions utilizing the software resources provided by the companyAble to multi-task and meet strict deadlinesImpeccable problem-solving skillsDemonstrated detail orientationDemonstrated and effective communication and interpersonal skillsStrong ability to work in teams and foster confidence in allSolid proven estimating skills and understanding of conceptual estimating skillsetAbility to independently develop accurate, detailed, complete estimatesWhat We OfferCompetitive payOpportunities for professional development and career growthBICSI Training FacilitiesA supportive and inclusive work environmentHealth, dental, and vision insurancePaid time off and holidaysWork Environment and Physical DemandsThe standard work environment for this position is an indoors business office and construction environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk or hear, use hands, stoop, kneel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee must regularly carry and climb ladders to 20 feet. Must be able to operate equipment such as scissor lifts, telehandlers, boom lifts, and UTVs (buggies) if required to do so. The employee may also be required to work in tight, confined spaces.
